Education Consultancy Services

MMC Education Consultancy offers a unique and diverse range of professional education consultancy, tuition and performance services.
Combining experience with current knowledge we provide a tailored and flexible service with real attention to detail to an international base of clients. We have extensive, professional experience in providing education consultancy services:
Within our region (Merseyside and SW Lancs) we offer private tuition in person. For clients with a reliable internet connection we can also offer on-line tuition via email, voice-over-i.p. and/or webcam.
Services for International Schools:

We have the experience and knowledge to make your school staff recruitment process an easy one. Depending on your requirements, we can be involved in:
  • Reviewing applications to provide a short-list of suitable applications
  • Conduct initial interviews over the telephone, webcam or in person
  • Meeting with appointees in person, individually or as a group, to discuss matters related to working in International Schools and living abroad. This is a very reassuring process for newly appointed teachers.
We also provide assistance with practical arrangements for in-service courses or resource acquisition. Learning Support Courses for Teaching Assistants are available up to NVQ Level 2 and provided on-line. All services are arranged to suit the particular needs of the school in question.

Supervision and mentoring of student teachers, TA’s and NQTs

We have extensive experience in both formal and informal contexts. Students are typically provided with supervision and mentoring via two different constituencies:
University education faculties who need part time, or specialist, staff to assist with their observation and assessment of their PGCE students on teaching placements/practices. This is often arranged via Educators Abroad (EA) - see http://educatorsabroad.org/
Schools with Newly Qualified Teachers and Teaching Assistants who want an external perspective on their performance. This is usually done “in house” by qualified teachers, but there are circumstances which require an external perspective.

Advisory Visits and Consultations with Schools

School advisory visits and consultations are arranged according the specific requirements of the school in question. The manifesto and schedule will be mutually agreed upon beforehand.
Schools often employ our services via EA who are a fully accredited education provider. Michael Cooper is a full faculty member with a specific responsibility for Teaching Assistant Courses and Student Teachers, for global teaching placements.
Michael's services are also employed via NST, a major provider of educational study tours. Several study visits use Michael’s support materials and assignments.
We do work directly with schools and encourage you to contact us with your enquiries if you require advice or further information.

Preparation and Customisation of Educational Materials and Study Programmes in Humanities.

We have extensive experience in the preparation and/or customisation of course materials, according to your specific requirements.
Our experience includes:
  • Creation of courses for students travelling abroad on educational tours
  • Creation of lesson plans and teaching materials for student teachers
  • Creation and delivery of Courses for International School Teaching Assistants
  • Providing extra English resources for non-native speakers
  • Creating exam materials for Humanities etc
These are just a few examples of projects that we work on. Please do contact us if you would like further information about your requirements.
